What you’ll be covered for.
- BuildingsWalls, roof, permanent fixtures and fittings. Fire, storm, flood, escape of water, theft, malicious damage, subsidence.
- ContentsYour belongings inside — furniture, electronics, clothing, valuables (within specified limits).
- Accidental damageAvailable as an option for both buildings and contents.
- Alternative accommodationIf your home is uninhabitable after a covered event, we’ll arrange somewhere for you to stay.
- Personal possessionsAvailable as an option for items you take outside the home.
- Home emergency coverAvailable as an option for things like burst pipes and lost keys.
Final policy details will be published in the Insurance Product Information Document before the quote journey goes live.
What won’t be covered
The fair-warning list.
The exact exclusions are set by the insurer who underwrites your policy, so they can vary. The list below shows the main exclusions you can typically expect — your policy wording sets out exactly what applies to your cover, so please read it.
- Your excess, shown in your personal details, payable per claim
- Deliberate damage or loss by you, your family or anyone living with you
- Anything related to a cyber attack
- Buildings: damage to gates and fences caused by storm, flood or falling trees or branches
- Contents, personal belongings and valuables worth over £2,000 individually, unless specified on your personal details
- Enhanced accidental damage: damage to computer software, the cost of maintenance or normal decoration, damage caused by anyone other than you or your family living in the home, and damage caused by pets
- Wear and tear and gradual deterioration; war; radioactive contamination; and terrorism (only as set out in the document of insurance)
- Excess
- Payable per claim, as shown in your personal details.
